Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Very spacious 2 bedroom (about 105 squared meters) nestled on a quiet street in the heart of Siena. It has beautifully refinished hardwood floors, an updated bathroom, and a renovated kitchen including a dishwasher. This apartment, recently renovated, offers plenty of sunlight and is in a former convent of the fifteenth century.
You enter from a 2nd floor gallery with an astonished view of the Siena skyline, the Cathedral and the Torre del Mangia.
There is a large living area with a piano and comfortable chairs, a modern comfortable kitchen and a full bath. The apartment is large enough to spread out and get comfortable, but easy to clean and maintain. There is a flat-screen HD television with cable, wireless internet access, a land-line phone and a CD/MP3 player.
The apartment is in proximity of shops and restaurants. The taxi point is just around the corner.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
The historic center of Siena is wrapped in a medieval atmosphere but at the same time lively and boisterous, animated by the voices and songs of the people of the district (the 17 areas in which the city is divided). On foot you can reach everything: museums, restaurants and the many events organized by the city for its inhabitants and visitors: concerts of classical music and jazz, outdoor shows, etc..

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
The old town of Siena is small and yet is rich in works of art and monuments, palaces and beautiful churches: Piazza del Campo, the most famous of Siena, where the Palio twice a year; the Public Palace, which with the Torre del Mangia and the Loggia below, is one of the finest Italian medieval buildings; the splendid Cathedral with Baptistery and adjoining bell tower, one of the most important examples of Gothic in Italy.
Since the Middle Ages Siena is one of the most fervent cultural places of Italy, gathering the world for the improvement of classical music and jazz.
Last but not least, Siena is also famous for its wine (Chianti) and for the excellent quality of its food products.
