Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
We live in a very quiet area not far from the Ticino river and Milan. Gallarate is a nice small town, full of events for all ages and a starting point for sports on the Ticino river (cycling, running, horseback riding, walking, canoeing, etc ...), especially in spring and summer.
Gallarate is located in a strategic position: 5 minutes from Malpensa airport, 30 minutes from Milan, 90 minutes from Turin, 90 minutes from the Ligurian sea.
40 minutes from Lake Como, 40 minutes from Lake Orta, 30 minutes from Mottarone (mountains), 90 minutes from Mont Blanc (Valsesia), 2 hours from Val d'Aosta.
Close to home there are some supermarkets, restaurant, bar, a railway station, the highway and different services for tourists, cinema, theatre, MAGA Museum of contemporary art.
