I was a journalist of the main venetian newspaper (Il Gazzettino), now retired. I am 65 and I live on my own at the moment. I like to stay here because the weather is very well, among the hills, close to city like Venice and mountains like the Dolomites. I have a lot of friends who speak english and would like to meet you if you like.

Vittorio is a quaint, historic small town and from the balcony we enjoyed the sun rising up from the Dolomites. Ugo took us on interesting excursions and of course we paused to enjoy a drink of Prosecco. Thank you Ugo!

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
I live in a small town (30.000 people) among the hills north of Venice. It's very easy to reach Venice (45 min by highway, or by train). Vittorio Veneto is an old town founded by the Romans in the first century.
During the Middle Age the town was ruled by one of the most important italian noble family. Its historical center was built in the 14th and 15th century, like its castle. Around the town there are many lakes, rivers, hills and mountains. This area is famous for its restaurants and wines (specially Prosecco). In Vittorio Veneto it's possible to do a lot of sports (swimming, tennis, golf, gym, hiking, biking, horses...). The town is very close to our Adriatic beaches (Bibione, Caorle, Jesolo): 1h by car, or other italian historical towns (Verona is 1,30 h by car). Milan is 2,5h by car or by train.
Dolomites (Cortina d'Ampezzo) are only 1h by car. Austria is 1,30h by car.
