We are a retired couple who love to travel. We have two adult children, who no longer live at home - our son lives very close to us with his young family and can help our guests with any problems. Our house is in a very beautiful rural area along the Wild Atlantic Way. We have been exchanging our home for many years (more than 20 exchanges now) without problems. We will be respectful of your possessions, and leave your home clean and tidy, as we would like to find ours. We will consider car exchange, but are prepared to rent a car if necessary.

Looking for non-simultaneous exchange ours available end August - early September, contra somewhere warm and sunny for Spring or Autumn 2020. Also simultaneous exchange June-July 2019. Comfortable family home on hillside, wonderful views of sea and mountains. HomeLink ** ** GOLD MEMBER.

Maison calme et confortable avec vue magnifique, a 5km de la mer et 2 km d'un petit village avec pub grub, epicerie/boulangerie et musique le soir. Nous avons beaucoup apprecié tous les nombreux échanges que nous avons effectués sans problemes depuis notre début en 1989. Ville touristique de Dingle pas loin.
Peaceful area close to busy tourist town. Modern kitchen, sitting room with satellite TV, many books and dvd's, 2 bedrooms each with washbasin, separate bathroom. Third (single) bedroom currently in use as an office. Many things to visit in the area.
75 minutes from Kerry airport (Ryanair to London, Alicante, Faro, Hahn), 2,5 hours Cork and Shannon airports, 1 hour Tralee train station. 5km from a variety of beaches (choose depending on the wind). Spectacular hikes nearby. Très belles randonnées a faire.
2 minutes by car from from Ballyferriter village with restaurants, shop and pubs (25 minutes on foot on a quiet country road), 10 minutes from the tourist town of Dingle.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Very scenic area with wonderful sea and mountain views, beautiful hiking trails, many interesting archaeological sites and a variety of beaches. In May, June and July the evenings are long and the light can be amazing. Visit the Blasket Islands, play golf at Ceann Sibéal, take a boat trip in Dingle bay to meet Fungi the Dingle dolphin, hear traditional music and song in a pub, attend a set-dancing workshop, browse craft shops and art studios in Dingle, and eat in high-quality restaurants. The Dingle peninsula is known all over the world for its food. Irish is spoken as well as English, and you can learn about our heritage at Ballyferriter Museum and Ionad an Bhlascaoid (the Blasket museum).
Tres belle région entre mer et montagnes avec randonnées, golf, sites archaeologiques, plages, belle lumiere, bonnes tables. Musique folklorique irlandaise les soirs. Tres bons restaurants a Dingle.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
You can swim in a cool sea on a different beach every day, take a long walk through hills with stunning views, ride horses across the beach, play golf on Ceann Sibéal 18-hole course, enjoy the atmosphere in our pubs, eat good-value 'pub grub', sample Guinness and locally-brewed craft beer, take a pottery lesson, do a sailing course, go fishing or just relax and enjoy the atmosphere in this friendly, easy place.
A little further away, you can visit the lakes of Killarney, Crag limestone cave and the shops in Tralee, take a day-trip to Cork by car (see the Jameson Whiskey distillery); take the train or an internal flight from Tralee / Kerry airport to Dublin for a quick visit to our capital city.

We will take good care of your house and leave it clean and tidy, and assume our guests will do the same for us. Our house is not safe for small children - there are steep unprotected steps at the side, and there is no gate between the drive and the road. We have a cat, and would be happy to take care of cats or other small animals. Sometimes we exchange our car, but it is not essential for us. We would like sunshine or interesting things to visit.
