Our Home For Exchange

Description of the home we are offering for exchange

We have a beautiful, award winning architecturally designed modern home in a quiet rural setting in scenic Connemara, West of Ireland. Our home is situated 13km north west of Galway city, within easy reach of beaches, mountains and lakes. Moycullen is a lively community village with the full range of amenities, good supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and pubs. Most importantly, it is located within easy reach of the most scenic and historic parts of Ireland, Galway,(on The Wild Atlantic Way) Connemara & The Burren. Dublin is less than 3 hours by car. Galway is a small intimate and vibrant university city, renowned for its cultural events and music festivals. The promenade at Salthill is very attractive for walking or meeting up with friends or watching the sun go down as the famous song says. A brisk twenty minute promenade walk along Salthill/ Galway Bay takes you to the city via the historic Claddagh area. A day trip to The Aran Islands (in Galway Bay) should not be missed and there is easy access from our home to the daily 45 minute boat journey to Inishmor, which is the largest of the three islands. Galway has been designated a European Capital of Culture 2020. This means that Galway city and county will host numerous cultural, artistic and educational events throughout 2020.
