We enjoyed Co Kerry, the beaches, Dingle peninsula (we could see dolphins and seals at Blasket island) and Killarney National park.

Read More...We had a great week in Danny and Ann's house in Lixnaw. It was easy to get to the beach at Banna Strand and we went there several times to bring the children buggy boarding which they loved. We also had a great trip into Listowel which has a beautiful park and playground. The house itself was perfect for the children with a table tennis table, pool table, basketball net, air hockey table and bikes to borrow. There were lots of toys there for the younger children too. We were very comfortable for the week and everything was there that we needed. We would recommend this home to anyone looking to spend their holidays in this beautiful rural setting with magnificent views out over the countryside.

Read More...It has been a long time since we wanted to visit Ireland and the proposal of the Laverty family was timely. We took advantage of a comfortable house, spacious and modern in a bucolic environment (it is not in Paris that we can see the cows scroll under your window). We could discover the Clare and Kerry counties which count among the essential of this beautiful country. Irish people are warm, must-see pubs and beautiful nature. The Laverty have managed this first exchange handily. Probably the beginning of a long series. Thank you for your hospitality and welcome to the world.

A very nice place to return in the evening after great trips that reveal stunning landscapes. The house is ideally located to discover the Dingle Peninsula, the Ring of Kerry and the south of Clare County. A great exchange ! Thank you very much Ann, Danny and the kids !

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
We live in Lixnaw which is a village in North County Kerry. Our home is a spacious four bedroom detached house [approx. 185 sq m.] with ample outside area in a quiet rural setting. Two of the bedrooms are en-suite and there is a separate bathroom and another shower room downstairs. Outside we have summer table and chairs, a large trampoline, swings and in the garage a full-size table tennis table, pool table and four bikes. We also have a piano and computer downstairs. The Wild Atlantic Way surrounds us and we are equi-distant to Listowel, Ballybunion and Tralee. There are numerous beaches nearby including TripAdvisor beach of the year Banna Beach- with surf schools and kayaking in summer. Ballybunion and [Arnold Palmer designed] Tralee Golf clubs are 20 mins away. Kerry airport is 25 mins away and Killarney National park about 40 mins. There are three Leisure pools nearby, plenty of opportunites for hill walking and Ireland's highest mountain is in Killarney. Dingle town with it's Bohemian atmosphere and ever present Fungi the Dolphin is 40 mins away. The scenery in Kerry is awesome and breathtaking and much of it still wild and natural and commercially untouched.
