The house is located in a charming little village which has all you need. We visited Holland, sailed on the Rhine, lots of walking in parks, saw museums and just enjoyed Bonn. We have had before, and during, a very positive communication with Daniela, who happily answered all our questions. Our best recommations;.)

We used the five bikes they left for us to cycle along the Rhein and the river Sieg, but also to enjoy various rich museums downtown, as well as to go to the magnificent botanical garden. We went twice to Köenigswinter. At the Drachenfells, we enjoyed a wonderfull panorama over the Rheine. After all this biking we were pleased to relax in their cosy house and the children enjoyed the summer swimming pool nearby almost everyday. And we could also order food from their neighbor when we were too lazy to cook ! And now we know from where the Haribo sweets come !

Also thanks to suggestions of our guests about trips and places to visit, we had the chance to see a lot of things and to live every day a different kind of vacation. History, natural environment and German organization make this region very attractive for tourists. Among the several things and places we visited we would like to mention the “Haus der Geschichte der Bundesrepublik Deutschland”, the Aachen cathedral and the trip along the Rhine river. Finally we really enjoyed the never ending “radwegen” (cycle routes).

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our house is located in Oberdürenbach, a small village in the Eifel.
The apartment is in our beautiful guesthouse and has it's own entrance through the garden. (When we do a home exchange and are in your home, there will be no guests).
Kitchen/spacious living room, 1 double and 1 singe bedroom, bathroom, big and wonderful garden with 7 chicken (if you do not want to take care of them, a neighbour will do so).
TV and WLAN/Wi-Fi.
Koblenz (45 km), Bonn (50 km) as well as the bigger city of Cologne (80 km) offer many cultural highlights, museums, concerts and sights. The Rhine valley (Unesco World Cultural Heritage) and the hilly landscape of the Eifel mountains invite to hiking excursions or visiting medieval towns and castles. For information about the region please check: http://www.bonn-region.de/english.html
We have a cat and would prefer someone who likes looking after her. The chicken can be taken care of by a neighbour - but of course you can also do it and have fresh eggs every day, if you would like to!

We live in a quiet neighbourhood. The bus station ist just 3 minutes from our house, and buses go every 10 minutes into town (20 minutes ride). For just a walk, the forest "Ennert" is nearby (5 minutes by bicycle), and in summer the open air swimmming pool is just 5 minutes by bike.
