Long ago it was my mother who start using home exchange to go on holiday. After experiencing 10 years of wonderful home exchanges with my family, I miss it! Now that I finally gained my independence and have my own little apartment to live in, I'm looking forward to start this experience by myself, too :)
Me and my boyfriend Leone are from Italy and share this apartment in Munich since 2013. We had time to furnished the apartment our own way and it became a cosy and nice home to live in.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our home is a small cosy apartment near Munich city center (9 minutes by underground). The apartment is on the second floor of an early 20th century building that houses eight other apartments.
There is a large living room with kitchen, a large bedroom and a medium sized bathroom. The large windows in the living room and bedroom face a large square where many neighborhood events take place, like Christmas markets and small concerts. Even though there can be some traffic in the square, the windows have very good soundproof double glazing.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
We live in Sendling, which is a quiet neighborhood with a wide selection of bars and restaurants. It's not the place where people go for partying but it's not a wholly residential area. Within less than 1min walking distance of our apartment there are a supermarket, three pharmacies, two bakeries (that are open on Sunday too), a popular local burger joint (and a MacDonalds too). The undergorund station is also less than 1min away, and the suburban trainlines stop is just 5min away. From there, trains can be taken to the Alps, for hiking, skiing or going to the many lakes nearby.
Within 10min by bike from our apartment there is the river Isar, which is a popular summer hang-out spot for locals. There are many beaches easily accessible to children as well, and plenty of space for barbecues.
