We are a family of 4, living in Paris, France. We are of South African and British origin, but live in France since many years. We work in the visual arts, cinema and teaching fields (at different école nationals supérieures in France). We love nature and the outdoors and being close to water. Our favorite destinations are on the North coast of Brittany, but we also regularly visit other parts of France, Europe and South Africa.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our neighbourhood in the 19th arrondissement is an everyday local part of Paris, well connected to all transport and touristic sites as well as open spaces for unwinding. The neighbourhood is mostly a family neighbourhood and in the last 10 years its gradually becoming more 'bobo.' It is a very practical place in terms of the abundance of commerce available in the nearby Avenue Sécretan and Rue de Meaux. There are many café terraces and restaurants.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
From our apartment it is a short walk to the Canal Saint Martin, the Parc des Buttes Chaumont, as well as many cafés, restaurants, supermarkets and organic shops. Nearby attractions are the Point Ephemère (live music), Parc de La Villette, Le Cité des Sciences (Science museum for children), Le 104 (theatre, dance, exhibitions, concerts), cinemas (Mk2 Quai de la Loire). We are also very well connected by bus and metro to the whole of Paris (metro lines 2, 5, 7, 7bis are very close), connecting you to different train stations and museums like The Louvre, Opéra de Bastille and Garnier, Le Centre Pompidou etc.
