We’re a Parisian family of four but our elder son, who’s 22, rarely comes with us on vacation. Our younger son is 16. My husband is a Head Concierge Clefs d’Or in two boutique hotels in Saint-Germain-des-Prés and he’ll be happy to share his encyclopedic knowledge of Paris with you! I am a translator and I love writing and reading.
We’re all very sporty and keen on outdoor activity. We play tennis several times a week, swim, ski in the winter and our younger son loves skating, surfing and snowboarding.
We love arts, culture, travels and museums.
We’re new on Homelink, which was recommended to us by a friend, but we’re used to trading homes since we’ve been doing so every summer for the past 11 years with friends and friends of theirs in various parts of the US.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Two bedroom apartment in the Latin Quarter (6th arrondissement/neighboring the 7th)
Classic 85 sq meter two-bedroom apartment located on Rue Saint-Placide. The nearest metro stations are Saint Placide and Sèvres-Babylone. The Bon Marché is down the street and there are all sorts of convenience stores in the area, as well as cafés, restaurants, supermarkets… A short walk from the Luxembourg Garden, place Saint Sulpice, St Germain-des-Prés, Montparnasse…
The apartment is located on the third floor of a 19th-century building with elevator, intercom and video surveillance.
The master bedroom (new king size bed, closet, chest of drawers), the sitting-room (sofabed, decorative fireplace, tv, phone/cable high-speed internet) and the dining-room overlook the street (western exposure double windows) while the second bedroom (single bed+folding bed, chest of drawers, closet, desk), the kitchen (four gas rings, electric oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, refrigerator/deepfreeze), the bathroom (tub, shower, washing-machine) and toilets (washbasin) have an eastern exposure overlooking the courtyard. There is an entrance corridor in between with closets. As this is an apartment we rent the rest of the year and decided to keep this summer for an exchange you'll have all the space you need in the various closets. As you can see on the photos we love reading and have tons of books both in French and English, as well as plenty of guidebooks about Paris and France and two big files explaining everything about the apartment and giving our favorite addresses in the area.
