Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
The apartment is connected with the Marais quarter, between closed Bastille and Le Marais is considered one of the hippest neighborhood of Paris, for its trendy shops and all the nice places to visit, and bars and restaurants aswell.
At the same time it is an old historical district of Paris with plenty of private mansions of the 17th and 18th century, some of them transformed into museums: Musées Carnavalet, Picasso, Archives, etc... Also you can visit Le Carreau du Temple, Place des Vosges, place de la Bastille...
Markets are also interesting to see, the market on the boulevard Richard Lenoir, and le Marché des Enfants Rouges where you can also have lunch.
At a half hour walking you will find the Pompidou museum, and ten more minutes walking
will lead you to Notre Dame.
