Liebe Malene und lieber Thomas! Schweren Herzens haben wir Eure lieben Katzen, Euer buntes Haus, das geschichtsträchtige Nyborg und das schöne Fünen verlassen. Besonders bewegt hat uns in der ersten Woche, zu zweit auf der Spur von Fünens Künstlern zu sein. Unser Favorit ist das Johannes-Larsen-Museum in Kerteminde mit Künstlerhaus, Atelier und Garten - gerade so, als wäre Johannes gerade weggegangen. Warum er das große Atelier nach Norden ausgerichtet hat, konnten wir uns nur mit seinem naturalistischen Ansatz und dem umwerfenden Gartenblick erklären. Auch die Sonderausstellung zu Christine Swane, Johannes Schwester, und ihre Liebe zur Farbe Grün hat uns bei aller gelblichen Trockenheit dieses "gemalten Sommers" berührt. Bewegt hat uns auch das Rasmussenhaus in Faaborg und Brandt in Odense. Als in der zweiten Woche unser Sohn dazu kam, war Strandurlaub angesagt. So viele unterschiedliche Strände auf Fünen: mal mit Steg, mal mit Steinen oder Sand. Mal gleich neben der Straße, mal durch Pinienwälder und Dünen hindurch. Mal gleich tief, mal unendlich lang flach (Best of: Nyborg Strand, Flyende-Sande, Strände auf dem Weg nach Svendborg). Fünens Strände sind schön. Immer wieder sind wir gerne nach ausgedehnten Lesepausen in eurem schönen Haus ins Wasser gehüpft. We had a great exchange in Malene's and Thomas' wonderful renovated old townhouse with its special atmosphere around Easter 2017. They left much information for us about things to do. We enjoyed the medieval city centre, the castle, the harbour and the beautiful beaches of Nyborg. The little towns Kerteminde and Svendborg on the sea were worth a visit as well as the beautiful variated landscape around.We also had a great shopping and sightseeing day in Odense. Nevertheless we had much fun with Simba, the friendly cat. Thank you, Malene and Thomas, for a great time!

We exchanged our house with Family Clante for a week in autumn and it was a very nice stay. We met each other two times half the way through and came to know Family Clante (Malene, Thomas, Anna and Maria) and we can confirm that they are really open and friendly. We enjoyed staying at their comfortable and cosy home. We had a warm welcome with red wine and snacks in the kitchen. We spent most of the time in the combined dining and living room (with a huge bookshelf) which was very comfortable. Family Clante gave us access to their Internet connection, which was great, especially for our kids. We went to Copenhagen for one night, it's just an 1/12 hour drive away, although it's possible to take the train which goes directly from Nyborg to Copenhagen. All in all it we had a great time in Nyborg with lots of new impressions.
