We are a danish-colombian family, my husband is Lars and he is from Denmark, I am Adriana and I am from Colombia. We met in London in 2004 and since then we have lived in England, Denmark and currently in Colombia. We live in a house in Barranquilla city and recently we bought our weekend apartment in Cartagena where we spend some of our weekends closer to the sea and walking around the beautiful Old City. Lars works for a danish company and I am a freelance interior decorator. We have to amazing boys Lucas and Joaquim, we love traveling and meeting people and different cultures. We travel a lot around Europe specially during the holiday seasons.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
The neighborhood is a small quiet area with holiday homes and apartment buildings. The main attraction is the beach only 300m walk from the flat. At the beach you can find all sorts of water sports available. Walking distance you can find small groceries´ and drug´s stores and a few restaurants. About 1km away there is a nice park witch offers various sport activities, like basketball, cycling, roller skating, running and walking. 10 min taxi drive and you will get to Cartagena which is the touristic jewel of Colombia.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
The flat is 300 meters to the beach and also 300 metes to a large hotel complex that offers a variety of restaurants and shops. The main attraction in Cartagena is the Historic Walled City and the San Felipe Castle, which was built by the Spanish. Our flat is only 10 minutes drive to the old city center where you can find restaurants, museums, shops, small parks, and just plenty of nice little streets to walk around, or take a 1 day boat trip to the Rosario Islands from the Tourist Pier.
