Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Spacious, bright 4 bedroom bungalow with wood fireplace, huge back yard with garden and deck encircled by forest and 7 minute walk into village of Wakefield. It is a 30 minute drive on good highway to city of Ottawa, Canada's capital and 2 hour drive or bus to Montreal and 5 hour drive to Toronto and 6 hours to Niagara Falls.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our neighbourhood is a friendly, with 10 homes on a cul-de-sac country road with 10 houses, many with children. All the families know each other and have casual parties and bonfires. The neighbourhood is a 7 minute walk into the village of Wakefield and we have a dock down at the bottom of the road where our Lewis Road families all swim in the river in summer months. There are trails in the forest directly behind our house, and neighbours will be happy to show you the trails.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
From our house it is a short walk to the Village of Wakefield with cafés, restaurants, live music at night and art galleries, yoga studios and the river with swimming, canoeing and paddle boarding in the summer. The house is also located on the edge of the Gatineau park with hundreds of Kilometres of hiking and mountain biking trails in the summer, and cross country ski trails in the winter, and a beach and lakes.
