Also our Govt telling us we must return to NZ ASAP! Lagos was a delightful area. Penny and Bruce's apartment is in the marina with wonderful views and excellent eateries nearby by. We were able to easily walk to town and the supermarket. Thank you both for exchanging with us. Our very best wishes for future travel when that becomes possible again. Take Care and Good Luck.

We cruised to the grottoes, walked on the beautiful beaches and bused to Sagres to see the stunning cliffs and the edge of Europe. A nearby Supermarket made shopping very easy and it was lovely to relax on the balcony with afternoon nibbles and wine. This was a relaxing, easy week and the cafes and restaurants were within a comfortable walking distance.

Read More...This comfortable and very clean apartment right on the Marina had all we needed and more to make our two weeks one of the most enjoyable exchanges we have experienced. So close to everything to see and do in Lagos. Lovely beaches, good restaurants, lovely strolls and a quaint town feeling. Although there's so much within walking distance, there's plenty more to enjoy by taking short drives in this delightful region of Portugal. We were there in December but found the temperature very enjoyable.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
We live on the waterfront in the village of Brentwood Bay, BC. We have a wonderful view out over Saanich Inlet to the mountains beyond. Kayaks and a sailing dingy are available for your pleasure and the water is swimable from June to September usually. We BBQ most nights and there is a large patio for outside use. It is like an extension of our house in the summer. There are many nice walks close by with little traffic. Shops are about a 15 minute walk away with more in the city of Victoria.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
There are several restaurants within walking distance and many more further afield. Tennis courts are available at a local park and many walks. Victoria is a tourist destination and has many attractions including theatre at specific times. We are surrounded by water here so we have all the usual water activities. Day trips can be made to Vancouver, USA Olympic Peninsula, and further north on Vancouver Island. There are also ferries to our gulf islands which are very scenic and enjoyable.

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
Most years we do not travel from June to September. 2015 is an unusual one for us since we will go to the Uk for a family wedding in mid August so would like to do a house swap after that and before mid Sep. We hope to have an Eastern European train pass to visit Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Austria so would like to house swap in those areas.
