Happily retired couple with two grown daughters who live in the suburbs. We enjoy living in a bright, contemporary waterfront condo in a very walkable seawall area of Vancouver, so we remain moderately active, going to Stanley Park, English Bay, Granville Island or one of many other destinations. Public transportation (skytrain) is just a block away and trips across to other side of the water can be taken on a water taxi, so a car is definitely not necessary unless we plan to go great distances. We love to spend time with family and friends, especially while enjoying delicious food and a bottle of wine.

High speed internet, WiFi, HDTV. Free access to apartment complex lap pool, Jacuzzi hot tub, sauna, gym and library. Step outside and you will find restaurants, as well as miles of divided seawall, suitable for walking, biking, skating, or relaxing on a bench, as well as small water taxis to Granville Island, Olympic Village, Science World and various areas along both sides of the water. Walking distance to beaches, parks (including Stanley Park), numerous restaurants, theater, casino, sports arenas, and shopping. Grocery stores, banks, liquor store, restaurants, coffee shops, walk-in clinic, pharmacy, post office and other retail stores within 2 blocks. Public transportation easy access including direct from airport. Perfect location. Our little piece of paradise.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
We feel our neighbourhood is perfect, both for residents and for travelers, as all amenities are close at hand. The 30 km long beautiful seawall invites everyone to walk, bike, or just sit and relax at the water's edge, also a great social area. As well, Aquabuses provide regular access to various areas on both sides of the water. There are so many restaurants that you would never have to cook if you choose not to. Granville Island is five minutes by water and Stanley Park is 1/2 hour walk. A complete skytrain/bus/seabus system is two short blocks away. Trains and Greyhound buses are 5 minutes away and will take you to other areas of the province. As I said, it is a perfect area to live in and to visit.

As shown in our listing, there are many attractions in Vancouver. You can be as active or as inactive as you choose. There are lots of available outings on land and on water as well as many miles of seawall on which to walk or bike. There are also skytrains, water taxis, hop on/hop off buses, dinner cruises, and cultural activities available. Various festivals and parades happen mostly in Summer. Our Walk Score is 97 out of 100.

We prefer to stay in a one level apartment or home in the heart of the city where everything is accessible, including public transportation We do not offer our car for exchange. I have an allergy to animal dander, so we are unable to exchange with anyone who has pets, even if they are no longer in the house. We greatly appreciate the privilege of staying in your home and take great care to ensure it is well looked after, knowing you will care for our home in return. No smoking, no children. Noise by-laws in effect., subject to fines by our strata council.
