Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our lovely home was built in 1924 and faces beautiful Park Beaubien (soccer field, playground, water park - 2 ice rinks and toboggan hill in the winter). It is 2000 sq ft divided on 3 floors and gets wonderful natural light. The lower level, which is street level, there is a queen bed and full bath with tub. The main floor is cozy with wood mouldings and features a renovated kitchen, dining area and living room with gas fireplace which looks onto the park. Off the kitchen is a very large deck with BBQ and patio furniture. The upstairs has one room for a child, office, and master bedroom with king bed and full bathroom (shower only).
We don't own a car and find we are able to manage the city with car share, bike, walk and the odd taxi.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
We love our home and our wonderful neighbourhood of Outremont. It is quiet, lots of green space and there are several parks with playgrounds, pool and splash pad within walking distance. There are many great restaurants one block up, on Bernard Street as well as a grocery store. We are easily accessible to public transit with the bus stop a very short walk away. The metro is 10 minutes walk. Parking (without residential permit) is also never a problem. The location is about 10 minute drive (40 min walk) to downtown and only 10-15 minutes walk to the very trendy Mile-End and Plateau neighbourhoods. There is also a Bixi (public bike) station one block away.
Our home is perfect for a family who like to be a little farther away from the action and like to experience Montreal from a local point of view.
