Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our 230 Sq M (2500 Sq Ft) home is located on a 3 Hectares (8 acres) property on a hill with a view over Nanoose Bay Ocean, surrounded by a paradise for lovers of nature & outdoor sports. We live on a quiet friendly dead end street, and we are within 2 paved kms of the main Island Highway. Behind us is mostly undeveloped forest land, with an extensive network of logging roads, many abandoned, and used as trails. Our comfortable, quiet and relaxing living room, offers Mountains and Ocean views. The kitchen and dining room face a private sunny backyard with a small pond, flowers, forest trails, lots of birds, squirrels, rabbits, deer and the occasional raccoon.
We have a small shopping centre within 3km drive with a small mall with bank, grocery store, medical etc. and and bigger ones within 10 kms.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
We are within 10 minutes of Rathtrevor Beach Park , walks and changing sceneries all year around, and warm shallow sandy ocean for swimming in the summer.
There are many other parks nearby featuring old growth forests, scenic oceanfront, rivers, lakes, and hiking trails.
North is the small seaside town of Parksville and Mt Washington for skiing and Paradise Meadow with many very accessible trails and some much longer (in the wild ) trails in the summer.
South the bigger harbour town Nanaimo with a ferry departing every couple of hours to Vancouver & the Mainland.
Southern tip of Vancouver Island, the touristic town of Victoria, a ferry to Seattle, US, departs every day from there.
West, the Pacific Rim 2 ½ hours with Tofino & Ucluelet–ocean wild - fantastic place all year around
