Description of the home we are offering for exchange

We are seeking for an exchange somewhere in Europe near or in mountains (July-August 2017). The possibility to use bicycle would be a must!

Our place is a two level 1300 sq. ft (approx 130m2) apartment adjacent to a green alley in a quiet neighbourhood near a lovely commercial street. 9 minutes walk to the Henri-Bourassa metro station that brings you downtown. 375th anniversary of Montreal. This summer is promising to be vibrant!

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area

Urban area in the northern part of Montreal. A lot of welcoming families share the same alley and the kids play outside together. A nice way to get in touch with welcoming and interesting locals. Public transportation nearby (metro and bus) that quickly brings you downtown. Lovely Fleury street two corners away with cafés, restaurants a shops. Ahuntsic Park a few street away. Shared Bixi Bikes two corners away.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home

This summer is the 375th anniversary of Montreal and a lot of activities, festival and shows are planned to help you discover the city and its creative culture as well as its history (http://www.375mtl.com/en/). For instance, you will learn how the first settlers survived harsh northern winters and how the french speaking community of Quebec established and lasted through time in North America.

- Fantasia International Film festival (July 13-August 2nd);

We have access to a cycling path that goes along the river side and another one protected bike path that connect with downtown. There is also a huge indoor skatepark and a sport complex a few minutes away.
