We are an easy-going, happily retired, married, fun-loving couple. We are excited to share our homes and yours, as we all travel to different parts of the world. We believe it is better to err on the side of mercy than on the side of judgment. We are a close family and have adult children, but not living with us. One lives in Toronto and the other in Berlin. They and their spouses may join us on our exchange, but if that is a possibility we would notify you for your approval beforehand. This may mean 4 adults and the maximum would be six adults This may never happen, but I would like to leave the possibility open. We love both city and country living. We take great care of our homes and would expect you to care for them as well. We would take the same care with your home. Looking forward to corresponding with you and helping to make your travel to our marvellous part of the world, wonderful!

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
We have 1/2 an acre fronting on a warm water playground and backing on a small forest. The water is shallow near shore, has a sandy bottom and has reached 86 degrees in the late summer months. We have a back split with a vaulted pine ceiling throughout. There are three bedrooms, a large kitchen with ample work space and two "living areas" The family room is off the kitchen and the Lounge is on the ground level, perfect for watching the action of multiple species of birds and the acrobatic antics of the squirrels. There are many 100 foot maples in our front yard. There's nothing like lying in the hammock and looking into the multitude of colours of greens and blues and the sky dappled with clouds. We have a 70 foot dock with a furnished deck where we practically live in the summer. The fall and winter are also breathtaking. We use our hot tub during the spring, fall and winter. It is right in front of the house so it's a quick dash to warmth. This link to one of our other properties which is behind our LakeHouse will show you some more of the scenery. https://www.airbnb.ca/manage-listing/17029663/photoswill show

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
We live un a quiet enclave in a small forest. The neighbours are friendly but respect each others' privacy as well. There are Fjord horses, black-faced sheep, deer, herons, bald headed eagles, osprey, and hawks in the front yard or an easy walk along Morrison Point Rd. There is Black River Cheese Factory, world known, at the end of Morrison Point. There are also organic veggies that are purchased from here and used by the top restaurants in Toronto. We are on a peninsula with water on either side. The pastoral views will calm your mind and bring joy to your heart. We are an easy driving fifteen minutes from Picton, where all the amenities you may want are found. Prince Edward County is a biking paradise. Train and bus stations are in Belleville. Travel and Leisure chose The "COUNTY" (Prince Edward County) as number 11 in the top 50 cities in the world to visit, right after Milan. TRAVEL TIPS GLOBAL HOT SPOTS

Prince Edward County, Canada 10 of 51
Cross Montauk, NY, with California’s Napa Valley circa 1970, and you get Prince Edward County, a tiny wine-producing region that’s becoming a haven for creative types. It’s within a four-hour drive from either Montreal or Toronto and just welcomed the lakeside Drake Devonshire, a high-design spinoff of the edgy Drake Hotel in Toronto’s Queen West. Stop at some of the 40-plus area wineries for affordable tastings of Burgundy-style Pinot Noirs (Norman Hardie and Hubbs Creek are favorites); take a detour to Sandbanks Provincial Park, a gorgeous white-sand beach with sweeping dunes; and stroll down Main Street in Bloomfield (population: 687), with its boutiques and the raved-about ice cream parlor, Slickers. On lucky nights, you’ll even catch a glimpse of the northern lights. —Nikki Ekstein MacLeans Magazine http://placestosee.macleans.ca/ This link will give you an idea of The County. Our beaches and sand dunes are fabulous and the cleanliness is noted by many visitors.

Please remove shoes in the front porch. Electricity is very expensive because we are considered rural, so please turn off lights when not in use. We are on a well with excellent drinking water. Even so, it is run through sand, charcoal and ultra violet filters. We are on a septic so please be careful. This means please do not put anything in th toilet that could cause backup of the system. We have a canoe and 2 kayaks that you are welcome to use. This is really a little paradise.
