Our hosts were in residence for the early part of our exchange and provided meals and services like a 5 star hotel. We developed a great friendship and learned a lot about Ontario and Canada. Their home is a beautiful new house with lovely timber floors and furniture. The Bayfield area is very scenic on Lake Huron and within a reasonable drive from Toronto. We highly recommend home exchanges with Kevin and Nancy. Best wishes Carmel and Michael Leydon

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our home is situated in the historic village of Bayfield which is nestled on the shore of Lake Huron and renowned for its sunsets. It is frequented by sailors, cottagers and tourists so boasts many fine restaurants and shops. Bayfield's Main Street has been designated as a Heritage District. We are within one hour of Stratford, home of the famous Shakespearian Festival and two and one half hours from Ontario's capital, Toronto. We are also within thirty minutes of local theatres in both Grand Bend and Blyth. Our location now includes close proximity to several wineries and numerous craft breweries. There are at least four golf courses within a 20 kilometre radius of Bayfield. Locally, there are parks and many walking trails and the beach is a mere five-minute walk. Beautiful beaches are located all along Lake Huron, including Grand Bend and the port of Goderich.
Our house is located in a quiet neighbourhood where the grounds afford much privacy. There are three bedrooms but our upstairs office also includes a sofa bed. The master bedroom is located on the main floor as is the laundry room.
