Our Home For Exchange

Description of the home we are offering for exchange

Our house is an old manse, circa 1887, with many beautiful perennial flower beds, shade trees, a private ‘secret’ garden with fire pit, and a children's play tree house, sand pit and tire and toddler swings. The interior of the house consists of a long dining room with antique pine table that sits ten and other period pine pieces, a spacious living room with fireplace, bay window area, and ten foot ceilings. A three-piece bathroom, kitchen and a side porch with hanging baskets and wicker make up the ground floor. Upstairs, there are two double bedrooms, a lovely three piece bathroom with oversized tub, and a huge master bedroom with large bay window area and a walk-in closet cum office. Downstairs in the basement is the laundry, workshop, and recreation room with its large screen TV and projector home theatre.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home

From our house it’s a short walk to two coffee houses, The Village Eatery, The Grind Cafe, and the Crème Café. Forbes Park, a few steps further is a great place to take the kids, especially in the summer when the water park is open. Also within a short walk is the Mill Run Trail, a 10 kilomètre trail initially following the river through woodland, fields and housing estates.
