Our Home For Exchange

Description of the home we are offering for exchange

Only 10mins on bike from the heart of the medieval town of Ghent.

'You have to visit Ghent' says 'Best in Travel 2011' from the Lonely Planet. They placed Ghent on the 7th place worldwide as 'Europe's best kept secret'. And CNN confirmed this opinion. Even the National Geographic Traveler Magazine (november 2008) nominated Ghent as the 3th most authentic historical destination in the world.
Furthermore, Ghent is only half an hour from Brussels, Bruges and Antwerp, three of the most beautiful cities of Europe. And only 70 kilometres from the Belgian coast. All of this easily accessible by train.
We give you the opportunity to visit and discover this attractive city, together with the other historical places and the rich Belgian culture of art, gastronomy and events.

We are a young couple with a little boy Felix (6/11/2015) living in a house in a lively neighbourhood. It has a big & bight kitchen, dining room and living room downstairs, a terrace & garden, 3 bedrooms, and a bathroom.

Neighbourhood

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area

Ghent is one of the most beautiful historical towns in Flanders (the Dutch speaking part of Belgium - most people also speak French and English). By car, our house is five minutes from the historical city-centre. By bike, just ten minutes. There is also a good system of public transportation that can get you to town in no time. Furthermore, by train/car Ghent is only half an hour from Brussels, Bruges and Antwerp, three of the most beautiful cities of Europe. It's 70 kilometres from the Belgian coast.
Besides its beautiful towns, its coast and its monuments, Belgium is also known for its fabulous kitchen, its friendly people and the good life in general.
