Our home is available for non-simultaneous exchange 18/12/2023 - 31/01/2024
We are retirees so can travel at any time. Being used to the warmth of the Top End we do find it difficult to travel to southern states when they are in the grip of winter. At this time we are only travelling within Australia and New Zealand. We have a daughter living in Christchurch and like to visit her on a regular basis.

The Darwin festival was an added bonus with a great choice of performances and galleries showcasing the culture of the area. The markets were a great multi cultural event. Beautiful walks to Buffala Creek and the Dripstone Cliffs. (or bikes). A great base to explore Darwin and beyond. Woolies is handy and Casuarina very close by.

Communication was terrific and we were greatly assisted as we had a wedding in Darwin and the home and car were of great help with our wedding party. The home its self was brand new in a new suburb and we felt very comfortable and secure there. The plunge pool was very relaxing after busy days. Great home, great people. Thanks!

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home

From our house it is a short drive to shops, cafes, the foreshore for outdoor activities. Darwin is a very multi cultural city with many varied restaurants & markets including the well know Mindil Beach Markets. We are the gateway to Asia and Kakadu so a great place to stay and explore either Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks (we recommend taking a tour) or popping over to Bali for an Indonesian break. A favourite for many is the Darwin to Broome cruise. In Darwin itself you have the Military Museum, the world war 2 oil tank storage tunnels, the Royal Flying Doctor Museum, our Bullocky Point Darwin Museum, the Deckchair Cinema, the Botanic Gardens and it's very interesting information centre, the Darwin Waterfront with its wave pool and extensive outdoor area. Come enjoy our foreshore, buy your fish and chips and be amazed at our wonderful sunsets. Tropical nights guaranteed.
