Mike and I are retired having worked in education for many years. We live in South Hobart, close to the city and with wonderful views of the river Derwent estuary. Usually at this time of year we would be overseas. For the foreseeable future we would be happy to swap within Tasmania. We would also swap in Canberra, restrictions permitting, as our family live there.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
South Hobart is a vibrant suburb and close to the city centre. There are cafes and restaurants close by. South Hobart has many historic homes ranging from convict cottages to sandstone mansions. We are also close to the historic Hobart Rivulet and the world heritage listed Female Factory. There is a walking track along the rivulet to the city and this delightful walk takes about forty five minutes and the drive to the city takes five minutes. There is an excellent deli to cater for your daily needs.

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
It is important that we find our house as we left it. We are clean and tidy and our house is easy to keep clean. We don't have any open fires. We have said we are happy to accommodate pets and would prefer small dogs only.
