Description of the home we are offering for exchange

My unit is 2 bedroom (one set up as a study with sofa bed) with an open plan kitchen/living room. There is a concealed laundry in the kitchen. The balcony has some views over the harbour, towards Darling Harbour and the city.
It is very comfortable and low maintenance.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area

Our neighbourhood is in a leafy residential area close to the water, parks and with lovely walks, all within walking distance. There are local cafes in Wollstonecraft and Waverton, with a bigger shopping area which includes banks, numerous restaurants of all cuisines, two large supermarkets and other services 10-15 minutes walk away at Crows Nest. Both Chatswood shopping district (10 minutes) and the city (12minutes) are a short trip by train. You then only have an easy 300 metre walk to the front door. Trains run very frequently in both directions and will also take you to ferry terminals which will transport you to many destinations including Circular Quay, Taronga Zoo, Watsons Bay, Manly and Cockatoo Island.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home

My 2 bedroom unit in Wollstonecraft is situated just 5km from Sydney CBD on the leafy lower north shore. It is 5 minutes walk to the railway station with regular, quick links to the city, and a vast array of transport links to get you around the city, suburbs and the state. A 10 minute walk away is the cosmopolitan restaurant strip of Crows Nest where you will find over 100 restaurants of various cuisines and prices.

There are many lovely walks in the neighbourhood, only 10 minutes away is Berry Island, a great place for a walk and picnic. For the fit and energetic you can walk through the neighbouring suburbs and over the harbour bridge to the city, or catch the train 3 stations and you will be right at the start of the bridge walk.
