We rented bikes and went for a ride most mornings then settled in for the hot part of the day...in and out of the pool several times a day. This beautiful traditional Australian home is just around the corner from town ... it was a treat to go and wander the shops and pick up some groceries. We had a short drive to the train station and then an easy train ride into Adelaide. Thank you Elaine and Tony. We only hope Covid ends and you get to stay in our home!

The location is perfect, just a block from the main street and a short walk to cafes and shops. Chateau Tanunda is a pleasant walk away. The home itself is a lovely period home and very comfortable. All necessary amenities are available and for cooking you are likely to find fresh produce in their vegetable garden. Arrangements for the exchange were easy to make with Elaine. Tony visited to meet us and provide advice during our stay and was very friendly and helpful. Tanunda is a delightful town centrally placed in the Barossa Valley wine region with numerous wineries and places of interest just a short drive away from Elaine and Tony's home.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our house is centrally located in the main town of the Barossa Valley Wine Region and is a short walk to a wide range of cafes, restaurants, shops and the local visitor information centre. The region has over 70 wineries with cellar door facilities open to the public for wine tasting and a range of award winning restaurants.
Our home is a renovated character stone house located in a quiet street with views to two historic churches and only a few minutes walk to the main street of the picturesque town of Tanunda. The house has two bedrooms with queen size beds and 1 bedroom with a single, two bathrooms and a large lounge/dining room with a wood fire.
Our garden is very private with an outdoor entertaining area, large swimming pool (for summer use only), fruit trees and vegetable garden. This is our main residence but we have a second home in the Adelaide Hills and are therefore able to accommodate non-simultaneous exchanges.
