Our Home For Exchange
Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our apartment is located at Picnic Point overlooking the Maroochy River in the heart of the beautiful Sunshine Coast . The apartment comprises an open plan kitchen, dining, lounge extending on to a balcony, perfect for afternoon drinks. There are three bedrooms, one of which we use as a study with computer and high speed broadband, while another has been converted into a TV room. A Eurobed is available if needed. The main bedroom has an ensuite. There is a second bathroom and separate toilet and the laundry is equipped with a washing machine and dryer as well as a drying rack.
The apartment complex comprises of just twelve units with secure parking, a lift and a private swimming pool. Our apartment is on the third floor.
Bicycles are available and the use of car can be negotiated.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Picnic Point is a small enclave situated on the Maroochy River just a few minutes walk from the heart of the town and a short cycle ride to some of the best beaches on the Sunshine Coast. Boats, kayaks, canoes, sailing boats and stand up paddling boards are all available for hire just minutes away with wonderful waterways and fabulous bird life to discover. The park in front has sheltered picnic tables, free electric barbeques as well as showers and toilets. Stroll along the river, venture to the café precinct or take in a movie at the shopping plaza. It is all just minutes away.

We are at the heart of the Sunshine Coast, a popular tourist destination, with wonderful swimming and surfing beaches, diving, scenic walks, golf courses, and other attractions such as Australia Zoo, Sea Life and of course the glorious UNESCO listed Fraser Island. The capital city, Brisbane is just fifty minutes away.
There is always plenty to see and do.
There is an airport just 10km away with regular flights to Sydney and Melbourne as well as other domestic destinations.
