Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our house is located on a leafy, serene tree-lined street about a three minute walk to Frankston bayside beach where there is a scenic boardwalk into the town and close to other walking tracks through nature reserves, such as Sweet Water Creek. Neighbours are friendly without being inquisitive. Public transport is close by, with Frankston Station on a direct line to the city.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
Morning walks and sunsets can be enjoyed at Frankston beach throughout the year and swimming in the warmer months in the calm and safe waters of the bay. The sandy beach is great to play and relax on and there are cafes, a restaurant, boat hire and a yacht club as well as a children's playground along the beach front. Sweetwater Creek reserve has cool, shady walking tracks throughout and many species of native birds can be seen there. The town of Mornington, which offers markets, restaurants, art galleries as well as swimming and other water sports, is about a 15 minute drive. Further along the Peninsula, there are surf beaches, such as Gunnamatta and Port Sea, as pretty towns along the peninsula, such as Sorrento. You catch a ferry from there to historic Queenscliff on the Bellarine Peninsula and spend a day taking in the sights there. There are also numerous wineries to visit on the Mornington Peninsula. Nearby galleries include the McClelland Gallery and Sculpture Park.
