I am a retired teacher, curriculum developer and historian. I love travelling to satisfy my love of both history and geography and to enjoy the arts ,and the way of life in different places globally. At home I like to read, catch up with friends, listen to music, attend film screenings drama and concerts, enjoy the outdoors. Tempt me with an offer that motivates the senses and my curiosity. I have done over 40 exchanges (lost count actually) since about 2005.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
SEEKING simultaneous exchanges: France, Scandinavia, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy , Croatia and Germany
I have an exchange in London for March and April 2025 and so I and looking for the continent after that. In 2024 I can consider anytime between March and the end of October for Europe.
Ideally, a stay of one to three weeks or even longer can be considered at each location. If you are planning to travel around as I am you may be keen on a shorter stay.
I answer all emails. And I am open to other suggestions of where I should visit.
Every corner brings a new adventure. I am also prepared to consider hospitality exchanges.
I know some people say they want to visit Australia for our summer as winter is too cold. Melbourne's winters are NOT like the cold in northern Europe. It is closer to a Mediterranean climate.
I have had replies saying they won't come to Australia because of the poisonous snakes and spiders. Apparently an average of two people die from snake bites each year while there have been no deaths from spiders since 1979. In comparison 1, 123 people died in road accidents in 2021!!!!!!!!!
For those who love good wines, fine foods, cultural and sporting events and magnificent scenery, or just a good relaxing place to visit then beautiful, cosmopolitan Melbourne is a hidden jewel - a must.
Close too to freeways leading to scenic places such as the Great Ocean Road, penguins at Phillip Island, wineries in the Yarra Valley, Wilson's Promontory, the historic goldfields, etc.
I am now an 'experienced' exchanger with about 40 exchanges completed.
