We had just to walk to be on a wonderful beach with dolphins and sometimes whales . There are a lot of walks to do in the area and you find as much cafes and restaurants you want in the town . A lot of festivals are available too . We enjoyed also the pool every day for our everyday Olympic training !! and the terrace to have our lunch and dinner . Lucie and Johan had taken care of our home and had been very nice people .

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our house is located in a quiet cul-de-sac on a high ridge with a fantastic ocean outlook. The views are magnificent with a 180 degree sweep of the ocean from Honeysuckle Hill to Broken Head - perfect for whale watching from June to October. The house backs onto a lush National Park bush strip with direct access to a track leading to the beach, just a short stroll away. The town is within easy reach by car, bike or on foot.
The deck looking out to the ocean is alluring and we find ourselves gravitating there throughout the day. There’s also a lovely verandah off the bedrooms that has mountain views and is a perfect spot to soak up the last rays of the sun.
The lounge/dining/kitchen is open plan with sweeping views over the treetops to the ocean. It is surrounded by decks.
We travel frequently. When we're in Byron we stay in a basement apartment beneath the main house.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Byron Bay is one of Australia’s premier holiday destinations. This area of Byron Bay is a gem. It’s quiet, serene, an easy walk to an uncrowded beach and yet within easy reach of all the action Byron has to offer. We absolutely love it.
See www.visitbyronbay.com
There are two trendy cafes – the Top Shop and the Roadhouse – within a 1 km walk and Byron's main street is 2km away.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
Byron Bay is the most easterly point of mainland Australia. Its lighthouse is iconic and a must see. There's road access as well as a variety of scenic walks to the top of the headland.
From our house there is a lovely, headland walk to the famous Top Shop where you can sit on the grass and sample the best coffee in town. A place to be seen! Byron has several live music venues as well as its own theatre, cinema, over 50 restaurants, many galleries and monthly markets - sometimes held on the beachfront, as well as festivals such as the Blues, and the now famous Writer's festival. The surfing beaches of Lennox Head and the Pass are world renowned and a surf lesson is a must. It's easier than you think! The rainforest walks of many ancient National Parks are nearby as are quaint villages and towns, with the famous Gold Coast (and it's theme parks) just an hour's drive away and the cultural city of Brisbane just a 2 hour drive north.
