Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our neighborhood is quiet with tall pine trees giving it a mountain feel. Lovely for taking walks. Neighbors are friendly but the houses are not crowded together. The home has the advantage of being in a mountain setting. Yet it is only one mile from the center of town where there is an old-style courthouse and city square across the street from the infamous "Whiskey Row." In the late 1800's Prescott was the territorial capitol of Arizona and has a colorful history.

The Grand Canyon is two hours by car from our home, as is Sedona, Jerome, and Phoenix. All these are excellent touring destinations. Highly recommended. There are many hiking trails around Prescott, as well. Some of the trails are around small lakes. There are many restaurants, cafes, bars, shopping areas in and around Prescott.
