We have four grown children and five grandchildren. We have recently retired and moved into a smaller home. Now we are ready to travel and meet new friends along the way. We enjoy nature, hiking, and anything to do with the water. We love music and dancing. When we travel, we like to drive through the countrysides and explore out of the way places.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our home has four bedrooms and two bathrooms, in Murrieta, CA. One of the bedrooms we use as an office, three can be used for sleeping quarters. It has a large, well-equipped kitchen and family room, living room and formal dining room.
There is a secluded back yard, with a jacuzzi, bar-b-que and beautiful fruit trees and flowers. Our home is in a quiet, residential area. We recently purchased and completely renovated this 2400 sq. ft. home, so everything is like new. It is just 5 minutes from freeways, restaurants, and shopping.
It is centrally located between Los Angeles and San Diego - two of the most popular tourist spots in California. It is about one mile from two major freeways, so it is convenient to travel to the many attractions. Enjoy the mountains or the beaches, scenic drives up the coast, theater, museums, concerts, amusement parks. It's all here!.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our neighborhood is quiet, but convenient to shopping and freeways. We are very close to popular stores and restaurants, but you will need a car. For the nature lover, there are many parks, Lake Skinner, Lake Elsinore, and Santa Rosa Preserve. There you can find many well marked hiking trails as well as water recreation. Within a couple of miles is Old Town Temecula, which is a very popular spot for both locals and tourists. The streets are lined with shops and restaurants, of all varieties, with many offering music and entertainment. Temecula is a the center of Southern California wine country. The wineries are beautiful to visit and also offer music, entertainment, tours and more. Many also have hotels and spas. All of this is within a a few miles of our home.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
Centrally located between Los Angeles and San Diego - two of the most popular tourist spots in California. Enjoy the mountains or the beaches, scenic drives up the coast, theater, museums, concerts, amusement parks. It's all here!. Popular amusement parks are Disneyland, SeaWorld, Universal Studios, Legoland, Knotts Berry Farm, as well as Wild Safari Park, San Diego and LA Zoo, and many, many water parks. The Getty Museum and LA Museum of Art are very interesting and you should plan a visit to either of them. In San Diego many of the museums are located in Balboa Park. It also is home to the beautiful Old Globe Theater. Or, see a baseball game at Petco Park, which is located downtown in the center of the city.
Many of our guest also plan a trip to Grand Canyon, which is a about 7 hours, so plan to spend the night at the park. You will not want to miss this popular sight. On the way stop in Williams, AZ - It's known as a gateway to Grand Canyon National Park via the Grand Canyon Railway. Historic Route 66 has Americana-style shops and restaurants dating back to the early 1900s. It's home to the Route 66 Zipline and Pete's Route 66 Gas Station Museum, featuring highway memorabilia. To the east, Bearizona Wildlife Park has bears, mountain goats, bison and birds of prey.
