We're a family of 4 with two young boys (2yo, 3.5yo), a dog, and a cat. Prior to having kids (and the pandemic), we loved to travel internationally as well as in the United States. We love camping, hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, and biking -- though we do much less of all of this with our two little guys these days :)
We're working more remotely these days and looking for opportunities to get to know different parts of the country and the world (as things hopefully open up more and we become more comfortable traveling again internationally). We are both fully-vaccinated with boosters and we'll be looking forward to getting out littlest ones fully vaccinated as soon as they approve it for their age group.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Beautiful and warm 1930's home with two en suite primary bedrooms (as well as another smaller bedroom). 3 season porch, back patio and a back deck as well. Balcony off of one of the master bedrooms. This house was the original home on the street and was a raspberry farm where the original family raised their 10 children.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our neighborhood is quiet, friendly, and beautifully wooded with heritage white oaks throughout. There is a small neighborhood park with a playground at the end of our street (which is a 3 minute walk from our house). We can bike through the neighborhood about 5 minutes to connect up with the extensive regional bike trail system that can bring you out to Lake Minnetonka or in to Minneapolis. The bike trails are really a point of pride here and well maintained -- Minneapolis is consistently rated one of the best cities for biking.
The Charles H Burwell House on the edge of our neighborhood is a historical house museum with a wonderful park on the Minnehaha Creek that can be used as a swimming hole when the creek is flowing. We are about a ~10 minute drive to Lake Minnetonka, ~12 minutes to Excelsior Commons, and ~15 minutes to downtown Minneapolis.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
While Minnesota is known as the Land of Lakes, we feel it should also be known as the Land of Parks. Within a 15 minute drive of our house we have too many beautiful parks to name them all but would highlight: Gray's Bay Dam Park (at the headwaters for Minnehaha Creek at the exit point for Lake Minnetonka), Theodore Wirth Regional Park with the Eloise Butler Butterfly Garden, Purgatory Park (with an off-leash dog park), Fort Snelling State Park, Minnehaha Regional Park (with the Minnehaha waterfall and another amazing off-leash dog park). The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is ~20 minute drive and is phenomenal year-round.
Obviously, Minneapolis and St Paul are also two huge cities with lots to explore from art museums to breweries and restaurants and much more.
