I am a solo female traveler in my 30's who currently lives in Los Angeles, CA. I love to find alternative ways to travel, be that house-sitting, home swapping, volunteering, etc, and prefer long-term travel. I enjoy the simple things in life and find luxury in peace and simplicity. I don't drink, smoke, do drugs, or eat meat. I have a small dog who I would like to take traveling with me occasionally.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
My home is a large 1 br/1 ba courtyard apartment in a lovely, peaceful, charming neighborhood of Los Feliz. It's in an older building, so it's nothing fancy, but it is clean and does have some typical LA old-world charm, including hardwood floors, crown molding, and colorful art deco tiles in the bathroom and kitchen. The building has a pool, a large backyard garden, and pay laundry rooms. The apartment unit itself is set back from the street and is very quiet and spacious.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
I live in the Los Feliz (Hollywood) neighborhood of Los Angeles, right at the bottom of the hill from Griffith Park. It's a charming, small-town feeling neighborhood right in the middle of the city. There are tons of lovely places to hike, walk, bike, and be in nature closeby, as well as conveniently located/walkable to grocery stores, restaurants, yoga, cafes, shops, public transportation, etc. It is also very close (10-15 minute drive) to downtown LA, if you're into that vibe, and about 30-45 minutes from the beach. In spite of how central this apartment is, it is in a very peaceful area where one can have plenty of space to themselves.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
As I mentioned, there are many lovely places to hike, walk, bike, and be in nature nearby. There are grocery stores, restaurants, yoga, cafes, shops, public transportation, etc. all within walking distance. It is also very close (10-15 minute drive) to downtown LA, if you're into that vibe, and about 30-45 minutes from the beach. It's LA, so there's also Disneyland, Universal Studios, and other amusement parks in the area. As well as everything else LA has to offer. This apartment is in the heart of the city, but Griffith Park is just a short walk away, and it is also a short drive from forests, deserts, beaches, and mountains.
Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
It is important that my home be left in the condition it was found. No guests or loud parties. Please be discreet and respectful of the neighbors. Please be reliable and trustworthy and self-aware. Enjoy your stay! :)
