Our Home For Exchange

Description of the home we are offering for exchange

Our quintessential brownstone residence consists of the top two floors (2000 sq ft), arrived at by entering up the front stoop and one inner staircase. The second floor enters into a large square living room and dining room, plus adjoining full kitchen. The kitchen island allows for socializing between. In the back is our library, filled with books and games. The library leads to an outdoor balcony on which to dine, or relax with a good book. The second floor also has a bathroom, with a tub. The third floor contains two large bedrooms with skylights (and AC units in each), and a recently remodeled bathroom. The main bedroom, with queen-sized bed, gets beautiful morning sunlight. The kid’s room has a twin bed and a toddler bed, and contains tons of children’s books and toys. Staircase from the third floor leads to the roof-deck, complete with a grill and views of the Manhattan skyline. On both floors, tall windows line the front and back walls bringing lots of sunlight. The stairway from entry level is shared with a friendly grandmother who lives on the bottom two floors, and knows the house, neighborhood, and its history very well. For public transportation: close access to F/G, near access to 2/3/Q/R.

Attractions

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home

Park Slope is a great launching pad for the city. Spend days without traveling on anything but your feet to enjoy food, culture, events, and nature. Short subway rides take you to Coney Island, Brooklyn Bridge Park, Brooklyn Heights, and Williamsburg, while the famous (and less famous) attractions of Manhattan are 30-60 minutes away. There are so many options on food & cultural sites that we would love to give you recommendations based on your tastes.

Our Preferences

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules

We are looking for a place welcoming to children, that is close to an underground subway.
Note for our house that the house has cats downstairs (one of which lived upstairs), so advisement to anyone with a cat allergy.
