Cathy and I recently (mostly) retired from running our pharmacy for over 30 years. We would like to travel a bit and we think our condo in Brian Head would make a nice swap for somebody that wants to explore southern Utah. Though only the two of us now, we often travel with our two grown children, Matt and Liz, and Liz's husband, Bjorkvin

His home in Tucson is a couple blocks from the streetcar stop that travels through downtown and ends near the University of Arizona campus. It is an easy way to get into the city for museums and restaurants. Matt was easy to reach, and included local resources as well as home operations in our communications. We highly recommend this Host and their offered home exchange. Thank-you Matt!

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Located on the Giant Steps ski slope, ski run corner and ground floor, and centrally located to Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Cedar Breaks National Monument, and various other state and county parks and recreational areas, this 2 bedroom condo is a great summer or winter vacation location. Massive amounts dry utah powder fall on this high alpine mountain (base elevation over 9,000') in the winter, and the resort hosts several festivals during the summer. Summer activities on the mountain include mountain biking, archery, disc golf, zip lining, dry avalanche tubing, hiking, fishing, and star gazine. Winter activities are ski and snow boarding with the newest high speed lift loading just outside and below the condo. There is also night skiing on weekend nights and holidays, and a tubing park just outside the unit. Cross country skiing, snow shoeing, and snowmobiling is also popular during the winter season. 3.5 hours from Las Vegas; 1.5 to Zion; 1.25 to Bryce

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Beautiful and cool mountain resort with wild flowers in spring/early summer and fall color change when the aspens start to loose their leaves. The chairlift operates in the summer for sight seeing and mountain biking, with a trail that drops over 5,000 vertical feet to the valley below (shuttle service available to bring you back). Mountain bike rentals are available at several locations in the resort during the summer season, as well as ski and snow board equipment during the winter. The city maintains a small fishing pond during the summer just a few hundred feet from the condo. There is an annual Shakespeare festival in Cedar City (40min) that is very well known.

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
This is a second home and a vacation rental, so it is important that the unit be left in the same condition as it was when you arrived so that any subsequent renter will arrive to a hotel like check in. We have a cleaning service that will clean both showers, bathrooms, and lavatories, clean the kitchen and floors, remove, wash and replace the bedding, vacuum the floors and dust the condo furniture. We will pay for this service assuming you will do likewise for our stay at you property. Or, if you do not have a cleaning service available, you can pay the cleaning fee ($90) so you can get on the road sooner, and we will clean your property when we check out. Sorry, there is not an option for you to clean our property yourself.
