We are couple in our early 50's. I am a public school secondary social studies teacher and my husband is an estate planning attorney. We have two daughters, one is a sophomore at college in Washington and the other is a senior in high school. We have lived in Boulder for the past 27 years and have lived in our lovely home in the mountains for the past 16 years. We love to travel both nationally and internationally, and have a passion for all things outdoors. We love our town and our home and we are excited to share it with you!

Our Home For Exchange
Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Perched in the middle of seven acres, our home backs up to 400 acres of open forested land. We live in the mountains, eight minutes above the heart of Boulder, Colorado. We have views of the white capped peaks on one side of our home and Boulder's city lights on the other side. We have a lovely deck with a gas grille, competition level trampoline, swings hanging from the trees and more.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
We live in a forested area on a dirt road 2.5 miles from central Boulder. There are many trails behind our home and city parks with hiking trails within a five minute drive. We also like to walk on the dirt roads within our neighborhood. There are beautiful views everywhere and we have wildlife as well. Many deer, fox, and squirrels roam the region. Occasionally we see wild turkey, black bear, mountain lions and bob cats. But those sightings are rare. Once we saw a mama bear and her two cubs meander through our yard from the safety of our living room.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
Rocky Mountain National Park is a 45 minute drive. Chautauqua Park, home of the Colorado Music Festival is a 15 minute drive. The Shakespeare Festival is held at University of Colorado Boulder each summer. University of Colorado Boulder is a 12 minute drive. Boulder has a fabulous farmer's market and free live music throughout the summer. There are miles of bike paths and a beautiful creek where you can go tubing. Boulder Mountain Parks has five peaks to climb, rock climbing and miles of trails to explore. Skiing at our local resort, Eldora is less than a 40 minute drive just past the cute mountain town of Nederland. Vail and Breckenridge are about a 1.45 hour drive. Aspen is 3.5 hours away. Red Rocks Amphitheater is a 45 min drive. Denver, Colorado's largest city is only 40 minutes away.
