Matthew works in London in the financial markets, Dawn is retired and our daughter is looking to move to the North of England. Our son is studying for his Economic degree in Manchester. We've been lucky enough to enjoy and share some amazing exchanges to Miami, Southern France, Devon/UK and elsewhere. We love exploring cities and environments without the trappings of expensive hotels, real tourists so to speak. We will and do treat an exchangers homes as if they were our own.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our home has been extensively refurbished and modernised to the highest standard, we are walking distance to the centre of Tunbridge Wells, a beautiful and historic spa town with the famous shopping and Pantiles on your doorstep. The Tunbridge Wells railway station is approximately 10 minutes walk where you can catch the train into London (46 minutes) or the south coast such as Brighton, Hove and Hastings.
The home is a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom residence with a large, open plan kitchen for entertaining with access to the rear of the property for BBQ's and eating outside. We have recently modernised the kitchen with all Miele appliances, underfloor heating, dual ovens and Quooker instant boiling water, it's an ideal chef's kitchen for when you choose to eat in. There are two sitting rooms, the front which easily accommodates 4 adults and the rear sitting room that can accommodate 3/4 adults. The rear sitting room also has a high quality sofa bed which would allow up to 7 people to stay if needed.
On your doorstep are some extremely fine restaurants including Hotel Du Vin, Thackerays ( http://www.thackerays-restaurant.co.uk ) and The Ivy amongst many others. Many independent establishments are nearby including local pubs and more mainstream chains. The town of Tunbridge Wells is a destination location in itself, it has some lovely walks, theatre, arts and shopping opportunities plus the chance to travel into London for the day or longer.
We have been Homelink members since 2000 and have enjoyed some amazing exchanges within the UK, USA, France and beyond. We've recently rejoined Homelink as we moved home and required to renovate our home but are looking forward to sharing our home with similar exchangers whom are interested in all of what Kent and London have to offer. Please note that our house is a town house and is on 4 levels, so it is unsuitable for the infirmed or families with very young children, we do not have any stair gates unfortunately.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our neighbourhood is very quiet, with the sound of birds from the adjacent parkland. We are in a cul-de-sac / no through road which means it is safe for children and its very quiet. Due to parking restrictions, the only people whom park in our street are residents and they mostly have children, so its especially safe and friendly area. People stop and talk in the street like they did in the old days!
