Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Semi detached property in a private estate. Located in a popular residential setting with elevated views to rear farmland. The area offers an excellent mix of shopping facilities, public parks, and country walks. Strathaven has a typical village community with a wide variety of shops, pubs, and restaurants in the village. Excellent motorway links to Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our area is rural and consists of a small town with features that capture the history of the area as a farmers market with its common green square. We have farms to the rear of our property set in some of the finest productive farmland in Scotland. We are twenty minutes from East Kilbride a large new town built to solve the post war housing crisis in Glasgow. It has a large shopping centre.
Centrally located we have easy access to the Ayrshire coastline with its many attractions including a number of beech towns.

Glasgow and Edinburgh are within a 40 minute drive with their huge cultural and historic significance for Scotland and the U.K. they have an abundance fine dining establishments, major concert destinations for classical and popular music, as well as museums that offer the history of the city under one roof. Notable art galleries housing some of the worlds finest artists work are within the walking area of both city centres.
Within a thirty minute drive you can experience the coastal towns of Ayr, Prestwick, and Troon with their fine beeches and seafood restaurants. Such towns were the main holiday destination of Glasgow inhabitants in the 20th Century before international air travel became popular.
Nearer home we have fine walks in rural settings, a choice of cafes in the village square, and several fine restaurants including an award winning Indian Establishment if curry is to your taste. If you like cycling the country roads to the rear of our property offer a myriad road network that extends into the neighbouring county of Ayrshire.
