Our Home For Exchange

Description of the home we are offering for exchange

Our home is detached and on two floors in a quiet cut-de-sac location with driveway, garage storage and attractive front and back gardens with outdoor furniture, seating areas and a Summer House. The house is light and spacious having been refurbished a few years ago and has a large fully fitted kitchen with all amenities and dining area which has large sliding doors opening onto the fully enclosed garden which is completely shaded by mature trees behind. The dining area also contains a piano and sofa seating area. There is a utility room off the kitchen and a front hallway with plenty of space for coats and shoes. The sunny lounge has two sofas and armchairs, a television and a logburner. We have a study/bedroom downstairs overlooking the garden with a large sofa chaise for relaxing or sleeping. This room is opposite the downstairs bathroom which has a large shower, toilet and sink. The utility, study and downstairs bathroom are off the kitchen, separated by a door, so have a good degree of privacy if you are travelling with someone who prefers their own part of the house. Upstairs are two bedrooms available for guests, one in the back of the house has a kingsize bed with plenty of floor space, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables. The bedroom in the front of the house has bunk beds, a chest of drawers and a chair. The bunk beds are comfortable and the bottom bunk in particular would also be fine for an adult to sleep on. There are plenty of books in the house including many guide books for walking and cycling and many maps.

The house is within a five minute walk of local shops and restaurants and is situated 1.5 miles from Poole Harbour and two miles from some excellent Blue Flag beaches. The chain ferry at Sandbanks is three miles away where you can gain access to the beautiful Purbeck area and Jurassic Coast. Wimborne and some lovely Dorset villages are a 30 minute drive. You are welcome to use our sit-on double kayak during your stay. We may also be able to leave one or more bikes for your use by arrangement. Parkstone train station is a 5-10 minute walk from our home and you can hear the trains when the windows are open or when in the garden, although they are not loud and do not interrupt a normal conversation.
