Our Home For Exchange

Description of the home we are offering for exchange

** FULLY BOOKED FOR 2024 **

Hello, and thank your for viewing our details.

Updated 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom detached home with a large sunny garden. Large
dine-in kitchen with open fireplace and settee. Lounge room with vaulted ceiling, wooden beams and floor to ceiling window. Quiet location with friendly neighbours.

LOCATION
Our home is located down a private road in a small rural village in the Essex countryside which is on the east side of London. For us it has always provided the perfect balance between living in the country and working / socialising in London.
The village has its own train station with direct links to London Liverpool Street station & Stratford in East London, home of the London 2012 Olympic Park and huge Westfield shopping complex. Both stations are major interchanges for all London has to offer e.g. Sightseeing & shopping, the history & culture.

The single track railway line runs along the bottom of our large garden where trains pass into / out of the station just a few minutes walk away. Consequently this makes the use of public transport by train very convenient.

There is also a cafe / bar at Fambridge Yacht Haven marina.
There are no shops in the village but a convenience store is just 5 minutes away by car.
On Saturday mornings there is pop-up farm shop offering fresh and seasonal local produce.

The location alongside the tidal River Crouch includes Blue House Farm, a 600 acre coastal plain nature reserve with hides for watching birds and wildlife. This area and the wider district are crossed by country footpaths for those who like walking or cycling.

Within 10 minutes by car you can visit 2 new vineyards which have built a reputation for producing some great wines in a stunning location high above the crouch valley. Both offer food, drink and wine.

The nearby towns of Maldon & Burnham-on-Crouch add to the maritime / coastal character of this area. You can visit the site of the Battle of Maldon in popular Promenade Park, and see the statue of Earl Byrhtnoth who fought the Viking invasion in 991.
