Our Home For Exchange

Description of the home we are offering for exchange

Our home is a late-Victorian/early Edwardian home on a quiet street on the edge of Lyndhurst, capital of the New Forest. The house has a comfortable living room with cast iron gas fire and has a separate dining room with original cupboards. This room has a large table that can seat 6 people comfortably. The kitchen has a 5 burner gas stove a separate oven and a large fridge and separate freezer. The kitchen adjoins the family room which is cosy for watching TV or just relaxing. There is a modern woodburner in the family room which is supplied from our wood stockpile outside. Upstairs features three bedrooms, all off the landing, a compact double, a king-size bedroom both with views over the garden. The master bedroom has an ensuite shower room and a separate bathroom completes the upper floor. s. There is a lovely garden in the back with hard paving for parking at the front. The village has excellent transport links to London [1hr30 by train] and all areas of the south coast are easily accessible by train or car.

Neighbourhood

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area

We live in a quiet street just on the edge of the village known as the capital of the New Forest. It's a friendly village which welcomes tourists all year round. The village has a good selection of shops and services - https://www.thenewforest.co.uk/explore/towns-and-villages/lyndhurst - and the grave of Alice Liddell, the inspiration for Alice in Wonderland is in the village churchyard. The New Forest is well known for being one of the few areas of the UK where animals roam free, ponies, cows, deer and pigs.
