Description of the home we are offering for exchange
My property is a modern family home in the picturesque Yorkshire village of Holmfirth, setting of the TV series 'Last of the Summer Wine'. There are panoramic views over the Holme Valley.
The house has 1 double bedroom with en-suite shower room, 1 single bedroom, a 3rd bedroom with sofa bed, kitchen, dining room, lounge, downstairs wash room and family bathroom. The accommodation is set over 3 floors.
Holmfirth has excellent bars, cafes, restaurants and shops, with good links to the motorway systems. It is an ideal base for exploring Yorkshire, Derbyshire and the rest of the north of England. Manchester airport is approximately 45 minutes drive away and London about 3 1/2 hours. There are many good local walks from the house and there is easy access to the Pennine Way. Day visits include York, Chatsworth House and Yorkshire Sculpture Park

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Holmfirth is vibrant small town nestling in the Pennine hills. It has several wonderful restaurants, bars, pubs and cafés. Live music is often staged at the 'Picturedrome' and other venues. It hosts a folk festival in May, an art festival in July and a food festival in October.
My house is set in a peaceful small courtyard of 7 houses overlooking the town. The neighbours are friendly but not intrusive. You can walk into Holmfirth in less than 10 minutes but it
takes longer to get back up the hill! Access footpaths and the countryside is virtually on the doorstep.
