Our Home For Exchange
Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our family home is situated in the coastal village of Goring-by-Sea in the English county of West Sussex.
The house is a fully modernised art deco period 1920's property with 3 floors (approx 150sq metres). Including: four bedrooms (3 doubles, 1 bunk room), 3 bath/shower rooms, 2 living rooms, a large modern kitchen/utility and adjoining dining room.
We have a good sized private south/west facing terrace and garden.
The house is situated about 500 metres from the sea and beach (under 10 minutes walk).
The local railway station (10 mins walk) has direct trains to central London (1hr 30mins) and Brighton (20 mins).
As well as convenient travel to London the location is ideal to explore the beautiful english countryside and attractive local towns and villages.
The South Downs National Park is only a few miles away, with great scenery, walks and village pubs.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our home is located in a quiet secluded close with a private central green planted with mature trees.
The coastal village of Goring-by-Sea has good amenities for visitors. Nearby is the village library and church, local shops include: a bakery, butcher, grocer, post office, off-licence and pharmacy.
We are very close to the sea and beach where you'll find a very pleasant café (under 10 minutes walk).
The local railway station (10 mins walk) is well connected with a very regular service. There are direct trains to central London (1hr 30mins) and Brighton (20 mins). Reaching central London is very simple.
The coastal bus service can be useful for short journeys into Worthing.
There are several pubs and restaurants within a short walk that serve good food, including an excellent Indian restaurant.
The beautiful South Downs National Park is very close (5 minutes drive).
Vibrant Brighton and the historic towns of Arundel, Chichester and Lewes are within easy reach by car or train.

There is a wide range of attractions available for every need:
• With good train services London is easily accessible for a day trip. One of the great world capitals within 1hr 30 minutes.
• The immediate location is ideal to explore the beautiful English countryside and attractive local towns and villages. The unspoilt grassland hills and river valleys of the South Downs National Park provide great scenery, walks and wildlife.
• The area has no shortage of English pubs serving quality ale and food which tastes fantastic after a walk.
• The historic towns of Arundel, Chichester and Lewes are all special with beautiful buildings and architecture and plenty for visitors to do and see.
• Vibrant Brighton is nearby; with endless restaurants and nightlife and regarded as a great destination for those seeking a city break.
• If you want to see Britain’s maritime heritage then consider visiting Portsmouth Historic Dockyard for day.

Dear Members,
Thank you for looking at our home details.
We will leave the house clean and tidy with some essential food items for you.
In the garden we have 4 chickens (in a run) who will give you fresh eggs, they just need occasionally checking for food and water (we will leave plenty to keep them going).
There is a detailed house book that explains everything we could think of.
If you want to exchange with us we'll ensure there is plenty of contact beforehand to ensure you are happy with arrangements.
Sorry no young children, the house is not suitable for little ones.
Normally no pets, but we would perhaps consider on an individual basis.
The only really important rule is to enjoy your stay as much as possible.
