Our home, a large Edwardian Semi, is situated a two minute walk from the centre of Easingwold, a Georgian Market Town 12 miles north of the historic city of York. Easingwold itself has a full range of facilities including banks, restaurants, public houses,shops/supermarket,a leisure centre and a regular bus service into York. Two National Parks, North York Moors to the East & the Yorkshire Dales to the West are within a short driving distance,with the Lake District National Park approximately two hours drive. York is a walled city founded by the Romans, located where the Rivers Ouse & Foss converge, its location on the river gives it a beautiful setting with some really nice walks along the river, or alternatively you can take a boat trip. The city has many historic & cultural attractions - York Minster the oldest medieval church in Northern Europe, Cliffords Tower, built by William the Conqueror & The Shambles one of the best preserved medieval streets in Europe. York has a great choice of shops, bars & retaurants, theatres, cinemas, race course and a vibrant social scene with something for everyone.
