Read More...We used Janice and Keith's comfortable home as a base to discover lots of South Wales natural beauty. We took the train to Newport and rented a car from there which worked out well. Our hosts left us a wonderful home cooked meal on arrival and allowed us to eat anything we wanted from their fridge and freezer, which we found very generous of them. Plenty of useful information was provided and Janice even kept sending us tips for things to do that were especially suited for our kids. We visited the Wye Valley, Brecon Beacons, went horseback riding in Chepstow, bouldering in Bristol and hiked all around and along the Pembrokeshire coastal path. South Wales ist just stunning and we would come back any time to do more hiking. Our daughters loved seeing the hedgehogs that visited us every night because Keith and Janice put hedgehog food out for them in their beautiful garden.

We shared the unit with our friends, so it was nice to have 2 bathrooms -- plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed exploring many castles and churches. We enjoyed meeting Janice and Keith -- fascinating people to spend some time with, which we were able to do when they visited our home in California, since we spent a couple days together. I hope our paths will cross again someday.
