The church bells directly opposite stop ringing at 10pm.and start again at 6.30 am, but being at the back of the house we slept like logs. Highly recommended.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our stone terraced property, "Tilly Cottage", offers modest but comfortable, well-equipped & homely accommodation for up to 4 people (2 double bedrooms)
Our second home is tucked away on a quiet terrace in the village of Evenwood Explore Bishop Auckland, Barnard Castle, the Durham Dales, Hamsterley Forest, Raby Castle, High Force, Durham City, all within easy reach. Evenwood is a small, former mining village set on the edge of the Durham Dales. Whilst not a 'tourist' village, It has basic amenities, such as a mini-market, post office, fish and chip shop, a couple of local pubs etc. It is within easy reach of the charming town of Barnard Castle and Bishop Auckland, and offers a perfect base to explore this lovely area.
It has a well equipped 'cottage style' kitchen with large range cooker, dishwasher, fridge freezer and microwave. A utility room with washing machine and a place to store bikes. The living/dining room is open plan, with comfortable seating and a dining table for 4. There is wifi and Freesat TV channels available. Gas central heating.
Upstairs you will find 2 double bedrooms, one with an additional small dressing and seating area, a large bathroom with a fab walk-in shower and a roll -top slipper bath, perfect for a long soak!
To the front of the cottage is an enclosed garden, to the rear is a small enclosed yard.
