We are a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children), we have done many house-swaps to date and really enjoyed each experience. Joe is a Chartered Surveyor, Edel is a Chartered Accountant and our kids are Leo (born 2008), Sasha (born 2010)and Rhia (born 2012). We have recently welcomed Mylo to our family - a small (non-shedding) Miniature Schnauzer puppy (born March 2020)

Couldn’t recommend highly enough. House located within easy reach of the city centre by car so we were in and out everyday with lots to do (genuinely surprised with how modern the city has become). The house itself was a gem -very homely with a great variety of spaces (clearly a lot of the owner’s personality and passions have gone into it), and also lots of board games for the kids to play. Great communication with the owners in advance also which made our first house swap experience very comfortable indeed -highly recommend.

I loved staying in Brtoniglia! The town is so charming, and it was so centrally located on the Istria peninsula - made it easy to do day trips to many other villages nearby. Loved the food - pizza was divine! the people were so friendly, and the scenery was spectacular. Highly recommend this place!

Description of the home we are offering for exchange

Very well presented, spacious family home on the South side of Belfast just 15 minutes from the city centre by bus or car.

A very pleasant and popular residential area close to children's parks and indoor play, family restaurants and stores .

4 great sized bedrooms,Master bedroom has super king size bed with wall mounted TV with Sky channels facing bed and Ensuite shower room

2nd bedroom with double bed
3rd bedroom with mid sleeper single bed and spare mattress under
4th bedroom with kids mid sleeper bed and spare mattress under

Family bathroom has bath tub and separate shower cubicle.

Downstairs there are 3 living areas.

Kitchen - Open plan dining, kitchen and casual lounge area (2 x recliner chairs) with TV and doors opening to outside.
Lounge - Recliner sofa and 2 recliner armchairs. Large TV (Sky) and wood burner fire.
Den - TV, Playstation, Cross Trainer, games and large pull out double sofa bed.

Kitchen is fully equipped with all mod cons (microwave, dishwasher, American fridge freezer). Separate laundry room (washing machine and tumble dryer).

Outside there is a large decked area with patio heater and furniture. Ample parking to the front.

We share our home with Mylo a young (non-shedding) Miniature Schnauzer - Mylo will not be there duding your stay. You are welcome to bring your own small dog.

Weekly cleaner will continue to come during your stay (unless you prefer otherwise).

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area

A quiet friendly residential area just on the outskirts of Belfast. Popular with young families the area has plenty to offer including children's play parks, indoor play, leisure centres, activity centres and open farms. Very convenient to Belfast City Centre. There is a park and ride bus service at the bottom of the road (10 mins walk) from which buses run regularly to the City Centre.

A great location for exploring Belfast City Centre and indeed the rest of Ireland North and South. We are 1hr 20 minutes drive to Portrush and the North West Coast, home of the Giant's Causeway. Or a 2 hr drive to Dublin, the capital of Ireland.

Belfast City Centre and all attractions including the Titanic Museum are only 15-20 minute by car.

Let's Go Hydro Resort water activity centre 6 mins by car.

Lots of family activities close by including Funtastic (indoor play centre), Streamvale Open Farm and We Are Vertigo - "Northern Ireland and the UK's premium indoor adventure centre with trampoline park".

Dublin is 2 hrs drive away. The North West Coast (Giant's Causeway) is 1hr 20 minutes drive.
