We have had over 20 exchanges both in the UK and abroad. We are active retirees. Both in good health. We like entertaining and socialising with friends.
Croquet is our preferred sport with the occasional game of bowls.
We have one adult daughter, who lives in Devon UK . Two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Ron is a member of Probus and has been his branch secretary for the past three years, he has now relinquished the post. This is an active gentleman’s club, with a monthly lunch for the men and a monthly coffee morning where the wives are invited along. On these occasions there is also a speaker.
Margaret does regular Yoga and dance classes.
We like to entertain our friends with fairly regular lunches, when we also like to play some board games.

Ashford is approximately 30 minutes from the coast, 20 minutes from Canterbury. There is easy access to London, and the Continent, by high speed train. The M20 Motorway is easily accessed for car journeys.
Local attractions include Historic Houses, Castles and Gardens. We are surrounded by beautiful countryside and the North Downs, which enables plenty of facilities for walking.
There is a bus at the top of the road, running into Ashford in one direction and Canterbury in the other. The journey to Canterbury takes an hour due to travelling through some villages, but interesting and leisurely.
Local shops & restaurants are 10 minutes walk away. Ashford town centre and large supermarkets are 10 minutes by car, so is the Cinema, with 12 screens, plus.
Ashford town centre has a Bowling Alley also the council owned activity centre.
Kent is known as The Garden of England, apart from the variety of fruit grown in the County there are a plenty of beautiful villages to be explored. Coastal towns are easily accessed from Ashford making interesting days out.
